- Write one specific kind observation for each.

- Ask someone which ordinary places are suitable for the notes.
- Place them without opening private storage or disturbing belongings.
- Let each person respond freely when they find a note.
Why it works
A kind note communicates something you noticed and appreciated. Specific details make the message easier to understand than an exaggerated general claim. Seeing kindness can encourage further kind actions in some situations, but nobody is guaranteed to respond in the same way or pass it on. A surprise is only helpful when it respects the recipient’s space and preferences.
