What is Taz?

Taz is your personal STEM simulations engine, for anyone curious about STEM: adults, students and children, with parent controls for children. Ask questions in your own words, get clear explanations from Taz the elephant, and learn by doing in interactive 3D science labs, code experiments and projects.

Who is Taz for?

Anyone curious about STEM: adults, students and children. An adult creates each account. When a child uses Taz, they do so with that adult's consent and supervision, and parents are best placed to judge whether Taz suits their child.

What can I learn on Taz?

Science, maths, coding and general knowledge. Taz has nearly 100 interactive 3D science labs covering forces, waves, light, electricity, space, Earth science, chemistry, biology and maths, plus Python code experiments that run in the browser.

Can I make games on Taz?

Yes. In the Maker Studio you build your own games, drawings, web pages, 3D worlds and obstacle courses, using snap-together blocks, Python, JavaScript or Lua. They can remix ten ready games, follow step-by-step quests, or describe a game and have Taz build a first version to change. See the Maker Studio.

Does Taz just give the answers?

Taz explains, then invites you to try things: the science labs ask you to predict what will happen before you run an experiment, so you learn by testing ideas rather than copying answers.

Safety

How does Taz help keep children safe?

Taz runs automatic checks twice: a child's message is checked for harmful topics and common personal details are removed before it reaches the AI, and the answer is checked again before the child sees it. Children can report any message, Taz suggests a break after 60 minutes, and parents set time and question limits and can block topics. No filter is perfect, so we recommend an adult stays involved.

Can a game my child makes reach the internet?

No. Every project in the Maker Studio runs in a locked box on your child's own device. It cannot reach the internet, your child's account or anything else on the computer.

Is it safe for my child to share a game they made?

Before a game can be shared, Taz reads it for names, phone numbers, email addresses, home and school details, links to other websites and unkind words, and stops the share if it finds any. Games posted to the Taz arcade are read again by the server, and any game can be reported. No check is perfect, so we recommend an adult stays involved.

Which topics does Taz steer away from?

Taz is set up to avoid violence and weapons, self-harm, requests for personal information or meetings, hate speech, extremism, and adult content such as sex, drugs, alcohol and gambling. If a child raises something worrying about their feelings, Taz encourages them to talk to a trusted adult.

Can parents see what their child does on Taz?

Parents set the controls, can ask what data Taz holds and can delete the account at any time. Email summaries and safety alerts for parents are coming soon.

Does Taz sell or share my child's data?

No. Taz does not sell personal data, and does not use it for advertising or to build advertising profiles of children. Common personal details are removed before a message goes to an AI provider, and Taz chooses providers that offer not to train on or keep these messages wherever that option is available.

How much does Taz Plus cost?

Taz Plus costs ₹699 a month plus GST, for one account, with 30 questions a day (600 a month), unlimited science labs, 5 projects and saved chats.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Cancel in Settings at any time and your plan stays until the end of the month you have paid for. You can also pay for a single month with no renewal.

Using Taz

Does Taz need an app or download?

No. Taz runs in a web browser at aitaz.com, and code experiments run in the browser too, so there is nothing to install.

How do I contact Taz?

Email [email protected]. Taz aims to reply within 1 to 2 business days, and to answer safety concerns first.
